Yes. This is one segment where their underwriter doesn’t set a standard outside class 348. By working through freight forwarding companies, the consumer can avoid the entire additional risk of having product sent directly to the consumer. A solid three-compartment crate package should be used at consumer destinations and risk class 350 can be negotiated with the freight forwarding company. Class 350 allows for up to 100% of value based on price and duty if someone steals or loses it. The carrier can breeze past completely duties in this case as well (up to 100%). From there, all duties are paid at standard rates meaning that the freight forwarder collects a service fee and pays all sensitive (and non) duties incidently.
